Draenei Shaman - Miirith

Wow i've been quiet on here for a while...

As a (rather bored) designer i thought i'd try and bridge the gap between commercial Photoshop, and fine art matt painting/ photo manipulation. This piece is more of a study into photoshop, and is a mixture of both methods, though it became more digital painting in the end.

The subject is my Draenei Shaman from world of warcraft (yes, i am a massive geek). I wanted to draw her casting Lightning shield but at the same time attempt to make her sexually appealing in a realistic light and ambiance (but not seedy). I also wanted to experiment with a different textural background base and so i've drawn her doing a rather shaman thing - walking on water.

As always, critiques are most welcome, but especially with this piece as it is my first attempt at a 'realistic' fantasy matt painting.
